Frequently Asked questions

What’s an admissions navigator?

Admissions Navigators are American Addiction Centers’ team members who focus on gathering information to give our clinicians insight for developing your individualized treatment plan. More importantly, your Navigator’s purpose is to answer any questions you may have and make the process of starting treatment as easy as possible.

Many of our navigators have either been to treatment themselves or experienced the process while supporting one of their loved ones. They are truly compassionate individuals with a mission to help others forge a path to a better life.

Is my treatment plan unique?

At American Addiction Centers, patient care is our top priority. You will be provided a unique treatment plan under the direction of one of our licensed and accredited medical practitioners.

Do you accept insurance?

Many insurance providers do cover telehealth appointments at the same level as in-person medical appointments. If you’re not sure what level of coverage you have, call the number on the back of your insurance card. One of our Admissions Navigators will verify your insurance coverage prior to your telehealth appointment so there will be no surprises.

How long will it take to sign up?

Singing up for treatment with American Addiction Centers whether through our Telehealth Services or our traditional treatment plan is quick and easy. Your initial discussion with an Admissions Navigator may last anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. During that time we’ll verify your benefits if you plan on using insurance and our clinical team will provide a treatment plan for the navigator to review with you.

If all is approved and a clinician is available, you may be able to host your first appointment the same day if you would like!

What do I need to attend my appointments?

Telehealth Services are easy to access. All you need is a stable internet connection and a smartphone or computer!

How do I get started?

Call one of our Admissions Navigators for a brief consultation. Once you answer a few questions we’ll get started on your treatment plan for you to review. If everything checks out, we’ll schedule your first appointment!

Wondering How to Get Started?

We make telehealth admissions simple. Still, we understand you may want to know every small step along the way. We have you covered.
